Practical Information
Siem Reap is not just a bout the ruins anymore. It is the fastest growing city in Cambodia and serves a gateway town to the world famous heritage of the Angkor Wat (located about 6 km north of the city).
Travelling to Seam Reap There are direct flight connections daily to Siem Reap from major cities in Southeast Asia. The city centre is about 6 km from the Siem Reap-Angkor International Airport.
Daily boat service from Phnom Penh is US$ 25 and the trip takes 4-5 hours.
By road, Siem Reap is also accessible from Phnom Penh and the Thai boarder.
Visa No visas are required for visitor from Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam. A visa is required for other nationalities. One-month visas are available on arrival at the international airports in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh (about US$ 22-24).
