Wednesday, 27 January 2010 17:58

Dr.Hiroshi Yoshida, Mr. Walter Klitz, Dr. Rainer Adam, Mr. Masaru Uchiyama, and Mr. Yuya Watase

On the occasion of the official visit of German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle, Dr. Rainer Adam and Mr. Walter Klitz of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Liberty visited Tokyo on 10-15 January 2010 for the purpose of discussing with the Foundation's partners and government officials the current political and economic situation in Japan and the region.

Specifically, the Directors held meetings with members of the Democrat Party and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the German media in Japan.

On behalf of the members of the Economic Freedom Network Asia (EFN Asia), Dr. Adam also took this special opportunity to engage in an exchange of views with leading free market organisations in the country. On the final day of his visit, Dr. Adam had a fruitful meeting with Mr. Masaru Uchiyama of the Japanese for Tax Reform, Dr. Hiroshi Yoshida of the Open the Taxpayer's Eye, and Mr. Yuya Watase of the PR Management. It is expected that this visit will further strengthen the cooperative relations between the Japanese partners and the Foundation, as well as expanding the network of EFN Asia.
